Health insurance dependent open enrollment continues through ...

Recently, all benefitted employees received a letter from Blue Cross regarding a special open enrollment for adult children. Adult children are eligible for coverage through the end of the month in which they turn 26.This coverage has been changed to allow these children to be covered even if they have other health insurance or are eligible for other health insurance.

Only the employees that want to add an adult child to their health insurance need to complete a new NDPERS health insurance application. Forms are available on the Payroll web site under benefit information>insurance>health insurance>NDPERS health insurance application.

If you are not adding an adult child to your health insurance policy, you do not need to complete any paperwork at this time. This change is for the health insurance only. Dental and vision insurance are not included.

Forms must be received in the Payroll Office (Stop 7127) by 4:30 Friday, June 22. Coverage goes into effect on Sunday, July 1. No late forms will be accepted.
